Narragansett Asset Management was founded in 1998 by Joseph L Dowling III.  Until 2006 Narragansett managed institutional funds for some of the nation’s premier financial institutions, pension funds, and university endowments.  Since 2006, the partnership has focused on managing Mr. Dowling’s own personal capital and a group of close strategic investors.  In certain situations, Narragansett co-invests or leads investment syndicates for a number of institutional investors and family offices.

Our Culture
We believe in living our values, we are all entrepreneurial in spirit and adept at taking calculated risks. It is this life skill that when practiced over and over again in all our pursuits that becomes the cornerstone of successful investment practice.

Two value frameworks guide us:

1. Our investment process: designed to achieve exceptional risk‐adjusted returns; and

2. Our organizational values: observed with as much discipline and fervor as our investment approach:

Integrity – We are ethical, accountable, and fair in all our dealings, and strive for excellence in everything we do;

Flexibility – The commitment to change is a fundamental part of our individual and organizational development and it also represents one of the pillars of our investment approach;

Humility – An open, feedback driven organizational culture that promotes team work, personal expression, self‐awareness, freedom; and

Adventure –Enjoy the journey of pushing beyond our own boundaries, beyond the HERD.

There are certain risks associated with an investment in hedge funds. For example such funds can experience volatile results and an investor or limited partner could lose some or all of his investment. A fund investment is very speculative and involves a high degree of risk, not suitable for all investors. Further such an investment is illiquid, due to restrictions on transfer, the lack of registration and the absence of a current or expected secondary market for fund interests or shares. Investment strategies may include non-performing / distressed, illiquid assets and non-US assets, employ leverage and a shorting strategy. High management fees and an incentive fee or allocation may cause the manager to take greater risks than it ordinarily would without such fees. This is not a complete description of the risks associated with a hedge fund investment. Any decision to invest in the securities or interests described herein should be made after reviewing the Offering Documents, conducting such investigations as a potential investor or limited partner deems advisable and consulting with their own legal, accounting and tax advisors in order to make an independent determination of the suitability and consequences of an investment in the securities described herein.
